Sexy is a state of mind built on confidence. If you aren’t comfortable with your body alone, you will never feel comfortable being naked in front of your significant other. You turn off the lights, leave clothes on, and/or position blankets over your stomach. In turn, you deprive yourself of the sexy feeling of skin on skin.
Well, it’s time to shake the clothes and embrace your naked body. You are beautiful. You are sexy. And trust me, your significant other thinks so too. Follow these 3 tips for feeling sexy naked, and you’ll be prancing around in your birthday suit in no time.
1. Look at yourself naked.
Stop dressing with your back to the mirror. One of the main reasons we feel uncomfortable in our body is because we don’t even know what it looks like. We assume it must be ugly. We hide it from our own eyes, so why would we show anyone else? Take off all of your clothes and stand in front of a mirror. If you start saying anything negative in your mind, turn it around. This is a no negativity zone. Look at your body and find the things you like about it. Think of all the good things that your body makes possible. Now, move in front of the mirror. Watch how your body shifts (and yes, how it shakes). Think of how amazing it is that you are able to walk, to dance, to hold things, to have children, to make love. Your body is a beautiful temple that should be celebrated – not shrouded in shame.
2. Be naked by yourself.
It’s your house. Be naked. Wait for a time when nobody else is home and close all the blinds. Take off your clothes, and go about doing whatever you would typically do. Clean. Cook. Read. Watch TV. Workout. It doesn’t matter what you do so long as you allow yourself to be naked. It will feel weird at first. Nobody is around, but you will still feel exposed. That’s okay. Push through it. Let your skin breathe. And when you walk past a mirror, don’t just turn the other way. Watch your body in action. Your body is beautiful, and it can do so many wonderful things.
3. Sleep naked.
There is nothing more comfortable than sleeping naked. The feel of cool sheets on your skin is one of the best feelings ever. Plus, sleeping naked means there are no clothes getting twisted around you while you toss and turn. And, it’s dark so you won’t feel self-conscious. You don’t have to sleep naked all the time, but at least try it to see if you like it.
If you do all three of these things consistently, you will feel more comfortable in your own skin. Don’t forget, the sexiest part of any woman is her confidence. Don’t be ashamed of your body. It’s the only one you’ve got, and it’s beautiful.

YOU GO GIRL! Thanks for this. So many people are “fat shamed” and this is just what we need to be real! Woot Woot!
Thanks for commenting, Sheryl. You are absolutely right. Whether the fat shame comes from inside or outside, it has no place in a happy life. Thanks for commenting.
great post! I hate the idea that people feel like they have to hate themselves purely based on what they look like. Wonderful tips to love yourself, no matter what you look like, and also, I cannot sleep naked lol. I live in California – it’s so hot I just feel sweaty!
Too funny, Tianna. I would hate not being able to sleep naked! When my husband and I didn’t have air conditioning and Idaho had a crazy heat wave, we walked around naked all the time and kept a spray bottle full of water in the refrigerator to cool off. Desperate times call for desperate measures. lol
This is such a wonderful post! I think women of every shape has certain issues with their body so we can all relate to this. And for the record, sleeping naked is awesome! Especially in the summer!
I absolutely agree, Jessica. I wish we could all see past our own body issues. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
I love this post so much. Amazing tips. I definitely embrace being naked whenever I can and loveee sleeping naked in the Summer <3 xxx
Yay! A fellow naked lover! I think one of the toughest things about living with my mom (and step-dad and brother) is that I can’t be naked as often as I’d like. No offense, Mom! (She will probably read this since we do run this site together…) Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Fab post. I love these tips.
Aww, thank you! I’m glad you like them. Hope to see you around here in the future. 🙂
Love these tips, I think what makes me feel sexy is just a certain mood I am in but feeling clean and smelling nice is always good, if I feel all harassed after work that is a sex appeal killer
I absolutely agree about harassment killing self esteem. I definitely have moments where I feel sexier than other times. Thanks for taking the time to post.
